A message from Hotel Montemar to its clients

Dear customer,

We are all experiencing difficult moments of lockdown in our homes to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. From the Hotel Montemar management, we wish that everyone is well and that, thanks to our joint effort of our society, this situation ends soon.

We are aware that the events related to the Covid-19 coronavirus and the accelerated flow of information that this generates require an additional effort of transparency and communication for our clients. For this reason, we have compiled the below summary with the main measures we have taken.

Which measures are we taking at Hotel Montemar?

– Following the recommendations of the Government of Spain, the Hotel Montemar will remain closed until the state of emergency has ended.

– Active personnel, management and reservation departments are tele-working in complete safety from their homes. This has meant having to adapt to a new way of working to continue serving our clients.

– Our security and maintenance personnel who have to physically attend their workplace, follow the safety protocol established by the law on occupational safety against the Covid-19.

– Our hotel has stopped its activity. For this reason, we have been forced to present a file for temporary employment regulation due to force majeure. It is an inevitable and temporary measure that protects our workers until the Hotel opens once this situation is over.

– To guarantee the continuity and business viability of the Hotel, energy costs have been reduced, the salary of the Hotel’s management has been reduced, etc…, while still complying to all our commercial commitments.

Which measures affect our clients?

– We provide telephone and electronic attention (email) for our clients from 10am to 2pm, Monday through Friday. Our reservations department is currently teleworking from home to provide you with optimal, uninterrupted customer service. (Telephone: +34.965.850.600 , email: reservas@hmontemar.com)

– Our recommendation is not to cancel if you have a reservation with us during the days of the state of emergency, simply change the dates to whenever possible. In this way, your reservation for a well-deserved vacation is assured once all of this is over. In addition, you will be contributing to the support of the tourism industry, which is key for everyone’s economy. For any questions, we are available by phone from Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm, and 24/7 through our website.

Finally, we want to express our gratitude to all those professionals who are working very hard during this global crisis: health workers, nurses, transporters, cashiers, supermarket workers, law enforcement workers… and all those people who, with their daily effort and sacrifice, make all of our lives easier during difficult times.
