“Lovely hotel
This was a lovely hotel, with great location, we didn’t have a sea view room, but our room was lovely, with comfy beds and very clean. downside was no fridge-but the room was very cool so didn’t really matter. Good breakfast with varied selection. Staff were really nice and helpful. No pool but the beach is directly opposite. Roof top bar was good value with brilliant views. Would definitely stay again”

“Great location & little gem
The beds were so soft it was like sleeping on a cloud. The room was so lovely & clean & the beds were made to a high standard not a crease on them. The staff were very friendly & always spoke. The house keepers always said good morning & had had a smile. The location of the hotel was spot on, rooms overlooking the promenade & sea was amazing. The bar area is quite small for the size of hotel but nice enough. We were half board & the food was lovely,meat, fish, past & loads of fresh veg. Was an amazing stay & have looked to go back in November.”

“Lovely hotel
Just stayed at hotel Montemar for a week booked a room with sea view. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade on our room to vip which had a bigger balcony with loungers a fridge and coffee machine. The staff are brilliant right through from reception particularly karina to bar staff kitchen staff and the cleaners are brilliant. Room cleaned every day and towels changed. The breakfast was also very good would definitely recommend”

The room is pretty large, updated and clean. It felt nice to come and rest here. The staff are very nice. The hotel is right across from the beach which made it a perfect location for my husband and I. It’s also located by the port so the area is quieter than the Levante area (relatively).”

“Abbiamo soggiornato 2 settimane in questo Hotel e davvero, non possiamo che dire che ci siamo trovate benissimo. Avevamo una camera vista mare, forse per chi non ama il caldo poco adatta,.visto che dopo le 13 il balcone è esposto al sole tutto il pomeriggio, ma per noi non era un problema, considerando che andavamo al mare. L’hotel pulito, cambio degli asciugamani tutti i giorni, camere pulite, personale di sala e reception davvero magnifici, ci siamo sentite a casa. Per.quanto riguarda il ristorante,.carne e pesce sia a pranzo che cena, primi..paella…tutto a buffet, a noi è piaciuto tutto ovvio…se avessimo voluto il cibo Italiano saremmo rimaste in Italia!!! L’unica cosa che posso suggerire è che il frigorifero in camera non c’è, ma c’è la possibilità di noleggialo a 3 euro al giorno, oppure 15 euro a settimana.
In fine, se dovessimo tornare a Benidorm di sicuro torneremmo all’hotel Montemar. Grazie di tutto”

We had a room with a sea view, perhaps not very suitable for those who don’t like the heat, given that after 1pm the balcony is exposed to the sun all afternoon, but for us it wasn’t a problem, considering that we were going to the beach. The hotel was clean, towels changed every day, clean rooms, waiting staff and reception were truly magnificent, we felt at home. As for the restaurant, meat and fish for both lunch and dinner, first courses.. paella… all buffet style, we liked everything obviously… if we had wanted Italian food we would have stayed in Italy!!! The only thing I can suggest is that there is no refrigerator in the room, but there is the possibility of renting it for 3 euros a day, or 15 euros a week.
Finally, if we were to return to Benidorm we would definitely return to the Montemar hotel. Thanks for everything”

“Experiența noastră a fost una foarte plăcută la acest hotel. Noi am ajuns în jur de 2 noaptea și ne-au întrebat dacă ne este foame și dorim să ne pregătească ceva, ceea ce mi s-a părut foarte frumos din partea lor. Camerele se curăță în fiecare zi, prosoape și lenjerie nouă. Priveliștea de pe terasă este nemaipomenită, la fel și pe terasa hotelului, unde au băuturi foarte bune, și la prețuri accesibile. Mâncarea de la pensiunea completă, noua ne-a plăcut, mergeam exact cum deschideau sau după o jumătate de oră, și era foarte bine, am fost mulțumiți de toată mâncarea, și nu a fost repetitivă. Tot personalul este foarte amabil, chiar și doamnele de la curățenie, de asemenea în ziua plecării am putut lăsa bagajele într-o cameră specială pentru asta, și după check-out, am putut merge să servim și prânzul, ceea ce a fost minunat. Câteva sugestii ar fi la prânz și cină să se ofere măcar apă gratuit, și să schimbe cafeaua. În rest, un sejur minunat, Mulțumim!”

We arrived around 2 in the morning and they asked us if we were hungry and wanted them to prepare something for us, which I thought was very nice of them. The rooms are cleaned every day, new towels and linen. The view from the terrace is amazing, as well as the hotel terrace, where they have very good drinks, and at affordable prices. The food at the complete guesthouse, we liked it, we went just as they opened or after half an hour, and it was very good, we were satisfied with all the food, and it was not repetitive. All the staff are very kind, even the cleaning ladies, also on the day of departure we could leave our luggage in a special room for that, and after check-out, we could also go to have lunch, which was great. Some suggestions would be to offer at least free water at lunch and dinner, and to change the coffee. Otherwise, a wonderful stay, Thank you!”

“Gem of a Hotel overlooking the Sea
What can we say about this little Gem of a Hotel overlooking the Sea, except, PERFECT! We spent 17 days in May we were allocated our favourite room. Everything was absolutley amazing . The service was excellent as always from, Reception, Bar, Dinning Room and Cleaning there was nothing that was too much trouble. All the staff want the guests to have a fabulous holiday which is why we return year after year. The food lovely something for everyone. The Cocktail Bar was, as always, so relaxing taking in the superb views. Muchas Gracias each time we visit we are so greatful to you all for making our holiday superb! We will be back as soon as possible”

“We enjoyed our stay here, the staff are realy helpful and kind always with a smile. Our room was lovely with great views, very clean and we had our beds made daily plus clean towels. The lifts are modern and fast. There’s a great hotel bar with entertainment daily and in the evenings. We love staying here because of its location to the beaches shops and the old town.…. along the front are some of benidorms best restaurants great for a romantic stroll and a bite to eat. I’d recommend anyone to stay here and give them a big thumbs up Enjoy your holiday staying here xx”

“Fantastic Hotel
We stayed here for 6 nights..bed and breakfast in a rooftop room. We had a great time here. Lovely hotel with very nice,friendly,professional staff.
Nothing was a problem for them. The cleaning service is exceptional too.Nice clean room and towels everyday. Plenty of English channels on TV too..so keeping up with the news back home was easy.
We only used the breakfast facility once but it was fine..lots of choice.
We had a massive rooftop terrace which we used everyday and had great views.
I will definately come back to this hotel and would highly reccomend it to everyone.
Well done to the staff of this hotel..they do a great job for their guests.”

“Best hotel in benidorm”
What a hidden gem this hotel is, on arrival was given a free upgrade from twin sea view to superior sea view, the hotel staff are super friendly and no problems anywhere. Lady on reception very polite and friendly.
Nice quiet hotel, lots of Spanish but very friendly and at least not full of rowdy English and screaming unruly kids. The food was fantastic, full board was great, never had a bad meal.
Room was spacious and clean, maids will wait to clean your room and very polite and friendly.
The view from the rooms is fantastic with no obstruction. Short walk to New Town. But we stayed in old town which the hotel is situated at.
Booked again as soon as we returned home due 2024.
Try it you won’t regret it, get a sea view room they are excellent and the bigger rooms have sun loungers on balcony.
On the top floor is a bar and seating area and sun loungers with the best view of benidorm I have seen 5 stars from me.

“Immaculately clean, friendly staff, great location next to loads of restaurants, bars, shops, market stalls and the beach.
Sea view room had an amazing view from the balcony and the 6th floor bar is a must with incredible views.
Breakfast was good with lots of choice.
Only negative was the maid coming in the room 3 times despite do not disturb being on and a noisy AC unit but we didn’t need that much.
Would definitely stay again and recommend.”

“Perfect Hotel at the front of the Benidorm Old Town :)”
We had a lovely stay, lovely Spanish Hotel. We were half board, so we used breakfast and lunch which was fabulous as we like to go out and about at night, so many great eateries however the way they do there wine ordering for dinner/lunch is fab, first time we have seen that, amazing !! no rush to drink the whole bottle !! The room was spotless as was the hotel, very clean for such a busy hotel. The reception staff were always very smiley and welcoming, which was lovely as i think we were the only Scottish people The next time we come we are going to go for sea view:) Best hair dryer i have ever had in a hotel …. thank you

“Super”
We have just spent 10 nights here and firstly this a hotel mainly Spanish guests well.past the age of 50 and some Dutch and some English guests around that age ….PERFECT FOR US BEEN 50 …
They cater for their clinetel which if you want McDonald’s etc then go to McDonald’s they supply a very good continetal and hot breakfast with mostly Spanish ingredients (again perfect for us as we’re in Spain ) and the same again at the evening buffet so much choice in hot ,cold, soups etc and puddings and fruit to tempt anyone who’s visiting Spain
We loved it all.
The waiters and waitresses were friendly and lovely at all times the room cleaning staff again just wonderful and cleaned our room EVERYDAY clean bedding and towels everyday … free WiFi through out the hotel and more importantly for me free Aircon in the room. All day everyday … we paid extra for the Seaview room and I would recommend to take this option as the sunsets are superb..the hotel roof terrace open early for sunbathing but that bar is open 4 pm until 8pm for cocktails etc (but there’s nothing stopping you using the downstairs bar and taking the drinks to the roof terrace.. I must point out as per other reviews this is a Spanish hotel in Spain and if your not used to their customs their staring may bother you ? but if this does bother you then Spain isn’t for you ..we have loved every minute here and will rebook to come back to this hotel ….the only downsides is it doesn’t have a pool this cant be helped ( The sea is literally 2 min walk away ) and no tea and coffee facilities in the room (again we knew this and brought our own small kettle downside was cleaner was too good and kept taking our cups away lol )

“Great Hotel. A Little Gem”
Always stay here when visiting Benidorm. Small friendly hotel recentky refurbished with great rooms. We always have the VIP rooms as they are bigger and there are sunbeds on the balcony. There’s a lovely cocktail bar overlooking the sea and the lights of Benidorm. Right in the heart of the Old Town.

“Very good stay! Again!
This was our 5th stay at the Montemar. Still fantastic. Rooms cleaned daily and the food was even better than before. I would recommend this hotel for couples only and for people who want a Spanish experience. The clientele were mainly Spanish older people who were all very friendly as were the hotel staff. Milenie is our favourite barmaid in Benidorm and always greeted us with a smile and had time for a chat. We did miss the entertainment in the main bar but found out they do not have it in the busy months, so we will remember this when we rebook. Best location, very clean, good food and drink, friendly staff and great value. Thanks to all!”

“Lovely relaxing stay
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We had a lovely sea view room on the first floor which was ideal for relaxing and to watch the world go by, the room had good aircon …needed in July and we also hired a fridge (try prebook). The room and hotel were kept very clean. Was mostly Spanish staying when we were there and we had no noise problems.
There a lovely terrace on the roof with fantastic views and the bar opens at 8pm selling cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere . Enjoyed staying on the edge of the old town and would definitely return here. Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay.”
